DANCE CONSULTANTS AND
CHOREOGRAPHERS OF 'DANCE OF THE DRAGON' THE MOVIE

Shawn and Gladys are proud
to be the dance consultants and choreographers for dance scene in the
international feature film 'Dance of The Dragon' - starring Korean Heartthrob
Jang Hyuk, Singapore's Fann Wong and Hollywood's Jason Scott Lee.


It is an inspiring
love story set amidst other tender and multi-dimensional
relationships. The initial sparks of what could be a new romance plays
off against a couple falling out of love, a student and teacher, a
father and son, a mother's influence and competing suitors - all
explored with sensitivity, delicacy and refined artistry.
The film will world
premier in Singapore on the 23rd April 2008.

'THE DANCEFLOOR' WINNER- VAS & PRIS

It’s all come full
circle for Vas & Pris, and what a satisfying one at that. The
young sparks first answered the audition call for The Dance Floor in
September 2006, and after seven months and several weeks of grueling
practice later, they have emerged as the first ever Dance Floor
champs!
MEDIACORP
UNVEILS 4 JUDGES - 'THE DANCE FLOOR'

MediaCorp has named the judges for
Singapore's first reality dance competition "The Dance Floor".
The four are TV host, actress and radio deejay Li-lin, dance teacher
Gladys Tay, choreographer George Chan and renowned TV producer Bill
Calhoun.
The team will judge more than 30 groups of dancers.
The two-day auditions ended in September and will premiere on
MediaCorp's Channel 5 on January 21 next year.
COACH
RECOGNITION AWARDS 2006
A record number of 41 coaches were recognised by the
Singapore Sports Council (SSC) for their outstanding achievements
and contributions to the success of their athletes and Singapore
sports at this year’s Coach Recognition Awards (CRA) 2006 Ceremony,
the fifth since the inauguration of the Awards in 2002.
Among
the awardees of the Talent Development Coaching Award and High
Performance Coaching Awards were national coaches
Viacheslav Bobok
from Fencing, Zhao Qun from Gymnastics, Shawn Tay from
DanceSports, Zhang Shao Ying from Shooting, David Lim Fong Jock from
Swimming and Andras Sigmond from Sailing,
who
were honoured for their significant role in the success of their
athletes at the 2005 SEA Games, among other achievements.
Making reference
to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s speech at the recent Teacher’s
Day Rally where he highlighted the nation’s need for first-class
teachers in the educational sector, Executive Board Member of the
International Olympic Committee and Guest-of-Honour Mr Ng Ser Miang
said that the same is needed for Singapore sports.
This year, the CRA was held on Friday
22 September 2006 at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.

third award in successive years for High Performance Coaching Award.
