Can I learn Ballroom Standard or Latin dances if I have no prior dance experience?

Yes. DanceSport is a fun and enjoyable activity for all ages. Our beginners level dance courses are specially designed for students with no dance background. These programmes will introduce the essential dance techniques and movements for Standard or Latin dances.

What is the best class to start with for a beginner?

Social dances are the easiest dances to start with. It is progressive and not physically demanding. You will be able to master a few dances in a 2-months course.

For Latin dances, a good start would be the Cha Cha Cha and the Rumba. For Standard dances, Waltz and Rhythm Foxtrot are recommended.

Can I start with Ballroom or Latin dances?

Yes, you can choose any of our beginner’s courses. Ballroom and Latin courses are more stylish; besides learning the dance steps, you will be trained in music appreciation, poise and posture.

Can I learn Ballroom dancing without a partner?

Yes.  Both our Group Classes and Private Lessons are suitable for individuals to learn dancing with or without a dance partner.

What is the difference between group classes and private lessons?

Group classes are fun and affordable. Learning in groups allows you to practice with different partners in a class and make new friends.

Private lessons are ideal for busy professionals and people who want a specially tailored class and schedule. You will also get to learn at your own pace with privacy.

Do you offer Private lessons outside the studio?

Yes, we can conduct private lessons at the venue of your choice.

Do I need special dance wear?

You can always dress in something comfortable and casual. To help your balance and movement, a pair of dance shoes is essential. Our staff will be able to assist you in selecting the shoes best suited for your needs.
